Our ship with red sails departed Seattle a while ago to meander down the West Coast to San Francisco. Then we headed west across the Pacific to Japan to do research for a new book. Our first two books on Japan covered the period 1850 to 1952 and the new book will look more widely at Japan’s history and culture – through to the present day.
This blog will tell stories from our different ports of call as we sail around the Japanese islands. So come with us – sail through the history and culture of this fascinating country with us – you never know what or who may turn up.
